Bio (short):
FROLIC brings thrash metal to the future - here not just to open up the circle pit (guarenteed at every show), but to push the boundries of what a Thrash Metal band from the Bay Area can sound like while still carrying the torch of--and staying true to--one of the most important artistic movements in heavy metal's history. From death, trad and black metal to progressive rock and much more, no stone is unturned in the pursuit of pure modern progressive thrash. FROLIC's growing acclaim reflects the pure energy and power fans are treated to during each and every live performance--and legacy acts have noticed.
Formed in 2014, FROLIC has enjoyed a substantial rise in popularity in recent years--sharing the stage with Suicidal Tendancies, Death Angel, Possessed, Forbidden, Biohazard, Eyehategod, Warbringer, Goatwhore, Angeles Apatrida, Hatriot, Bewitcher, Mordred, Blind Illusion, Hellfire, Defiance, Xoth and many more.

Fans of Kreator will enjoy similarities in Edgar's piercing blackened vocal delivery, while those versed in the Bay Area thrash metal staples such as Exodus, Death Angel and Blind Illusion will delight in memorable solos featured in each and every track as delivered by Edgar and Lenny's twin guitar attack. Those who love a good rhythm section need look no further than Zak's highly technical bass work and Elijah's fusion of jazz and funk inspired patterns with crushing extreme metal delivery engineered specifically for moshing.
On February 7, 2025, FROLIC released a live album and full-set multicam proshot video from their performance at the Great American Music Hall in support of Death Angel's 2023 Christmas celebration and Forbidden's first performance in 11 years.
"FROLIC: Live At the Great American Music Hall" was produced using high-fidelity multi-channel audio captured directly from the soundboard by front-of-house engineer Ivan Garcia and mixed and mastered by Andrew Peacock. Capturing the full performance in front of a sellout hometown crowd, the album's track listing is as follows:
1. Upon What's Left of Me
2. Destroy the Throne
3. Nebula Force Field
4. A Lesson in Violence (Exodus Cover)
5. Fusion of Spirits
Frolic's debut full-length record, FUSION OF SPIRITS released worldwide on September 16, 2022 to continued and growing critical acclaim, joining their previous release, the frequently lauded CRY OF THE DEMON EP. They remain active in the Bay Area underground extreme metal scene and are in preparations to tour and record a second studio album in 2025.
